Rutgers Gardens in New Brunswick is a popular location for hosting outdoor events like bridal showers, engagement parties, and wedding ceremonies. Brittany and Shawn chose it as the location for their “engagement party,” and shocked their guests (in the best way!) when the event turned out to be a surprise wedding.
Family and friends gathered at the Rutgers Garden Pavilion on a sunny afternoon to celebrate Brittany and Shawn’s engagement. The bride’s father then announced that everyone would be heading to the Sun and Shade Garden to witness the couple’s wedding vows! Hurricane Productions was in on the secret and provided a wireless sound system for the impromptu ceremony, which took place under the Garden’s picturesque gazebo.
Brittany and Shawn also booked our Turntable entertainment package, full-day photography, and videography services for their surprise wedding. DJ and MC Brian Buonassissi kept guests entertained throughout the reception, while photographer Corynn Egreczky and videographer Tyler Ajamian captured every special moment of the celebration.
As part of their Short Movie package, Brittany and Shawn received six hours of video coverage. Tyler’s raw footage was edited into a three to five-minute highlight video for the couple to share with family and friends from their day at Rutgers Gardens.
The newlyweds were thrilled with their celebration and said that Hurricane Productions provided a fantastic staff for the event. Brittany noted that their wedding team had “great personalities and were great to work with.” We were so happy to be a part of Brittany and Shawn’s special day!
