Meet Megan, Our New Wedding Consultant
Hurricane Productions is excited to announce the hiring of Megan Atkinson, our new Wedding Consultant.
As our Wedding Consultant, Megan will be responsible for finding and meeting with prospective clients, assisting with the preparation of contracts and invoices, and coordinating availability of independent contractors for our events. She will also collaborate with our in-house marketing team and assist with client emails.
Megan brings with her 10 years of experience in hospitality waitressing and five years of experience in sales. She currently sells construction services as a Sales Manager at Aerotek, a recruiting and staffing company.
When Megan came across a job posting from Chelsea Rutkowski, our general manager and her former high school classmate, she knew she had to apply. Though the wedding and events industry would be a pivot from construction services, Megan’s extensive experience in hospitality and sales made her a perfect fit for the position. And of course, her passion for weddings and events also shone through.
“I love weddings and parties in general, so I am excited to be the representative to our clients and help them choose the best packages for them!” explained Megan.
In her role as Wedding Consultant, Megan strives to make the wedding planning process as stress-free, fun, and accommodating as possible for prospective couples. She also loves the idea of being a part of planning one of the most spectacular days of their lives.
“Planning weddings is a lot of work!” Megan said. “To be able to alleviate some stress in the process of planning their entertainment and media for their event is my ultimate goal.”
Outside of work, Megan loves to travel and has visited over 10 countries in the past six years.
