Job Description:
We’re seeking a Senior Event Manager to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our events.
As our Senior Event Manager, you’ll report directly to the Vice President of Events and work closely with our dedicated team.
You’ll manage vendors, develop event strategies, and ensure the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.
Your role will be pivotal in interacting with sponsors and attendees, assisting with fulfillment around sponsorship-driven activations, and attendee-experience.
You’ll also be proficient in event ticketing and planning software, such as Cvent, Swoogo, and Custom Reg, and embrace the use of smart sheets and event data flow, producing reports as needed.

Key Responsibilities, however not limited to:
- Report directly to the Vice President of Events and work closely with the Events team.
- Focus on account management for our Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean County portfolio, including clients such as DEVCO, NJBIZ, Rutgers, Princeton, TCNJ, and NJCU.
- Assist the VP with national events and higher revenue opportunities, contributing to the overall success of the company.
- Manage vendors, source proposals, and drive event calendars to ensure timely and efficient execution of events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Collaborate with the Events team to create and implement event strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve event processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the development and management of event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Familiarize yourself with creating best practices and help create templates for event marketing.
- Interact with sponsors and assist with fulfillment around sponsorship-driven activations and activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in event ticketing and planning software, such as Cvent, Swoogo, and Custom Reg.
- Embrace the use of smart sheets and event data flow, producing reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in event management and production, with a proven track record of success in managing diverse event types.
- Strong account management and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present event plans and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, with the ability to anticipate and exceed client expectations.
- Familiarity with creating best practices and templates for event marketing.
- Experience interacting with sponsors and assisting with fulfillment around sponsorship-driven activations and activities.
- Proficiency in event ticketing and planning software, such as Cvent, Swoogo, and Custom Reg.
- Willingness to embrace smart sheets and event data flow, producing reports as needed.
- Preparedness to attend events and act as a liaison between vendors, services, customers, and their clients, ensuring a seamless event experience.
