ABOUT HURRICANE PRODUCTIONS + THE ROLE
At Hurricane Productions, we do far more than simply plan events. We create polished, high-impact experiences that leave a lasting impression on clients and attendees alike.
From large-scale conferences and corporate activations to networking receptions, VIP experiences, donor events, galas, and everything in between, our team operates in a fast-moving environment where organization, communication, and execution are everything.
We are looking for someone who gets excited by detailed timelines, client strategy calls, production schedules, vendor coordination, event technology, and the challenge of keeping a hundred moving parts running seamlessly behind the scenes.
This is the role for the person who naturally takes ownership, asks the right questions, keeps projects advancing, and knows how to bring structure, calm, and confidence to fast-paced event environments.
The Event Manager will report directly to the Vice President and work closely with senior leadership to support the planning and execution of major conferences, activations, and client-facing experiences across the country.
This individual will play a critical role in client communication, vendor sourcing, budgeting, event software management, proposals, onsite logistics, and internal process coordination — becoming a key part of the team responsible for delivering the level of service Hurricane Productions is known for.
For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to grow quickly, take on meaningful responsibility, and build a long-term career within an expanding event agency producing exciting, high-visibility work.
WHO THIS ROLE IS REALLY FOR
This is for the event professional who:
- loves a challenge
- thrives when no two days look the same
- can pivot quickly without falling apart
- knows how to communicate clearly under pressure
- wants to grow into a major player inside an expanding event agency
This is not a sit-back-and-wait-for-instructions position.
We need someone who is proactive, organized, solutions-focused, and genuinely obsessed with making sure details do not slip through the cracks.
You will work directly with leadership, support multiple client accounts, help execute events across the country, and become a critical part of the machine that keeps Hurricane moving.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, conferences, galas, networking experiences, and client activations from kickoff through onsite completion.
- Build and manage the master event plan including timelines, Run of Shows, staffing plans, registration workflows, production notes, and all key logistical details.
- Serve as the primary communication hub between clients, venues, vendors, AV providers, creative partners, and internal teams to ensure everyone stays aligned and informed.
- Manage vendor sourcing, hotel contracts, BEOs, room blocks, budgets, transportation, rentals, signage, and technical production needs with accuracy and confidence.
- Support proposals, estimates, invoicing, internal documentation, and project reporting while keeping deadlines and deliverables on track.
- Provide a high level of client success management by maintaining responsive communication, organized follow-up, proactive solutions, and a polished professional presence.
- Travel onsite to oversee registration, manage event staff, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure every live event is executed exactly as planned.
- Help strengthen Hurricane’s internal systems by improving workflows, building SOPs, organizing documentation, and expanding the team’s use of event technology platforms and AI tools.
