Bertram brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including more than a decade managing food & beverage, marketing, promotions, and entertainment in Minor League Baseball.

RED BANK, NEW JERSEY — This week, Hurricane Productions and MediaCutlet (HPMC) will welcome a new Vice President of Events, Jamie Bertram.

As VP of Events, Bertram will lead and manage the HPMC Events team. She’ll collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to oversee the event planning lifecycle for various event types, including conferences, awards dinners, non-profit galas, project announcements, groundbreakings, and expos.

In addition to developing and implementing event strategies and improving existing processes, Bertram will also serve as a mentor to junior staff and a liaison for HPMC’s event clients.

Bertram, a seasoned hospitality industry professional, got her start working at her third-generation family-owned seasonal concession business when she was a teenager. After earning her degree in Sports/Entertainment and Event Management at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, she embarked on a career in hospitality and entertainment for organizations in Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and New Jersey.

Jamie has been a dedicated member of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, a Minor League Baseball team, since 2014. During her time with the organization, she has excelled in various roles and has risen to the position of Assistant General Manager of Fan Experience and Events. Her commitment to delivering exceptional fan experiences and her expertise in events will be a valuable asset to HPMC.

“When we started this search, we hoped for a step forward. Jamie joining our team is a leap forward,” said Velasquez. “Jamie approached this opportunity by showing us how she would lead. She took initiative, she shared information with transparency, and she invested time into learning about us and our current team.”

As she begins her new role, Bertram is looking forward to the opportunity to expand her portfolio and apply her sharply-honed hospitality skills in a new environment.

“In my role at the BlueClaws, I serve as the glue that holds everything together,” Bertram explained. “I ensure that all the moving parts come together seamlessly and that every aspect of the operation is executed flawlessly. I’m excited to bring this skill set to Hurricane.”

She’s also eager to collaborate with her new colleagues on upcoming projects and events.

“They have a great culture and they work really well together,” said Bertram of the HPMC staff. “They are a small, intimate team and that’s something that I’m looking forward to being a part of.”

Outside of work, Bertram enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and Red Labrador at the Jersey Shore on their boat.

“I’m excited to be here with this new team and being able to bring my family along for the ride and include them as much as I possibly can,” she added. “I’m just really excited for a fresh start and a new beginning.”
