5 Waterfront Jersey Shore Wedding Venues We Love

Hurricane Productions provides photography, videography and entertainment services for events all over the tri-state area, but we absolutely love working at local Jersey Shore wedding venues close to our Monmouth County offices.

Over the years, we've had the opportunity to shoot countless weddings at many of the gorgeous waterfront venues at the nearby Jersey Shore. If your idea of a perfect wedding day includes a sunset beach ceremony, a photoshoot on the pier, or simply a beautiful ocean view as your backdrop, you'll fall in love with these event spaces and restaurants just like we did.

In alphabetical order, here are some of our favorite Jersey Shore wedding venues located on the water.

Clarks Landing (Point Pleasant)

Clarks Landing overlooks the Manasquan River, offering a stunning backdrop for both your outdoor ceremony and your reception in the second-story Grand Ballroom. The docks are accessible for photo sessions, which make for particularly gorgeous sunset portraits. This venue only hosts one wedding at a time, giving you exclusive access to the estate and grounds during your special day. Clarks Landing also offers a personal attendant for each of the newlyweds.

Crystal Point Yacht Club (Point Pleasant)

Also located along the Manasquan River, the Crystal Point Yacht Club offers "sweeping views" of the water from every one of its rooms. Between the docks and the picturesque landscaped grounds, which include an outdoor ceremony space and a gazebo, you're sure to get magazine-worthy photos. Should you and your guests need overnight accommodations, a block of rooms can be reserved at the adjacent Crystal Point Inn.

McLoone's Pier House (Long Branch)

If you've dreamed of getting married on the beach, consider McLoone's Pier House, a popular restaurant and event space nestled in the heart of Pier Village in Long Branch. Your oceanfront ceremony will be set up just outside the building, and when you and your guests come inside for the reception, you'll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean through McLoone's floor-to-ceiling windows. All wedding packages include a dedicated maître d' for your reception, votive candles on each table, and a custom-made wedding cake.

The Sunset Ballroom at Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty (Point Pleasant)

Renowned seafood restaurant Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty extends out onto a pier on the Manasquan River, giving you an unparalleled on-the-water experience. Weddings are held at The Sunset Ballroom, a recently remodeled five-room venue that accommodates up to 220 guests. The exquisite décor and beautiful river views provide a picture-perfect background for your wedding day.

Windows on the Water at Surfrider Beach Club (Sea Bright)

Situated between the Shrewsbury River and the Atlantic Ocean, water views are everywhere at Windows on the Water at Surfrider Beach Club. This 7,000-square-foot venue boasts a beachfront terrace and a gazebo on the beach for elegant photos before, during and after your ceremony. During inclement weather and the off season, Windows' open air Atlantic Deck can be enclosed in glass and temperature controlled, so you can have the beach view ceremony and reception you've always wanted.

Honorable Mention: The Columns (Avon by the Sea)

Looking for a more unique wedding venue? The Columns, located on Ocean Avenue just off the Avon Boardwalk, is a seasonal restaurant and club located inside a Victorian mansion. This 135-year-old establishment offers an eclectic menu, as well as an elevated wrap-around porch for a 360-degree view of its surroundings. When you book a wedding package at The Columns, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic and use of its private oceanfront suite.

People all over the world were popping champagne bottles on New Year's Eve, but Phil Karnicki and Amylin Ader had an extra reason to toast: They had just become husband and wife.

On the afternoon of December 31, friends and family of the couple gathered at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, New Jersey, for a beautiful Catholic mass and wedding ceremony. Megan and Tyler's Versailles Ballroom Wedding

On a gorgeous late summer day, Megan Doorly and Tyler Ruperto were married in the quiet New Jersey beach town of Lavallette.

The couple and their respective wedding parties celebrated and exchanged gifts as they prepared for the big day. Megan and her bridesmaids walked from their rental house down to the shore. The First Look

Megan and Tyler planned a first look that was captured by Hurricane Productions media professionals. The wedding party lined up along the entrance to the beach, creating an aisle for the bride to walk through. The groom waited for her near the water, with his back turned.

She tapped his shoulder and the two shared a private, emotional moment together before their ocean-side photo shoot.

Grooms Look Good, Too-Why You Should Consider a Second Photographer/Videographer

Traditionally, wedding photos and videos are all about the bride. "Prep" photos almost always focus on the bride and her bridesmaids – her dress, her shoes, her hair, her makeup, her jewelry, etc. And of course, during the ceremony, everyone stands up, turns around, and pulls out their phones and cameras when they hear the bridal march start to play – all eyes are on her.

But what about the groom? It takes two people to get married, and you and your spouse-to-be deserve an equal number of photos and videos of both of you. If your budget allows for a second photographer and videographer, you'll have lasting mementos from each of your perspectives on your wedding day, from both parties' preparations to your first look. The groom and his guys won't simply be an afterthought; they'll be just as important as the bride and her girls. This is a key consideration for same-sex couples as well: With two photographers and videographers, neither newlywed will get more attention than the other, and both of your pre-wedding memories will be equally captured.

Hurricane Productions offers full-day coverage of your wedding by two photographers and two videographers in our most robust all-inclusive package. On top of a full suite entertainment services, you'll receive up to 12 hours of photography and videography, access to our extensive online planning tools, a video/phone consultation with your photographers and videographers, and full rights to your photos and videos – all of which are securely stored on our cloud server for easy access.

On the fence about videography? The above package includes a highlight trailer, plus a 60 to 90-minute, high-definition, formal "cinematic" edit of your wedding, complete with sequences set to music and professionally-recorded audio from your ceremony and reception. With two videographers capturing both you and your fiancé, your wedding film will truly reflect the two of you as individuals and as a couple beginning the journey of marriage together.

Sparkler Send-Off: The Perfect Way to End Your Wedding

There's nothing quite like a sparkler send-off to bookend a fantastic wedding reception.

Think about the typical end of a wedding reception. The music stops, the lights come on, and in an instant, the mood and the magic of the evening comes to a screeching halt. Guests slowly shuffle off the dance floor, gather their things, and mill around the venue saying goodbyes and having last-minute conversations. It's a pretty anticlimactic way to finish one of the most exciting events in a couple's life.

One way to end your wedding on a high note is to incorporate a sparkler send-off.

Before you and your new spouse leave your reception, have your friends and family line up outside your venue with sparklers. Once the sparklers are lit, your guests can raise them above their heads to create a pathway to your first night as newlyweds. This allows you to keep up the energy and excitement of the evening, and give your guests something big to talk about on their way out.

So what does a sparkler send-off look like? Check out the send-off guests gave this couple, who were married at HollyHedge Estate in New Hope, PA. In addition to providing DJ entertainment, Hurricane Productions was there to capture this special moment on video:

Whether you choose to close out your wedding with sparklers or a different way, you'll want to have your videographer there to document it. What better way to end your wedding video than with the special send-off? Hurricane Productions captures and edits wedding moments, including sparkler send-offs, into a beautiful, artistic compilations.

The First Look Captured by Wedding Videography

Ask any married couple about their wedding day, and they'll likely tell you it felt like a blur.

They'll tell you to savor each moment, because it all happens so quickly. That's why it's so important to hire a great videographer as your eyes and ears for the day. This talented team preserves each beautiful memory for you and your fiancé to look back on and relive for years to come.

One such memory that many couples consider absolutely essential to capture is the First Look. This moment when the soon-to-be-newlyweds see each other in their wedding attire for the first time is special and intimate.

After the hustle and bustle of preparing for the ceremony and pictures, planning a First Look allows you to take a minute to breathe, relax, and remember what's important — each other.

Here are just a few examples of First Look videos that Hurricane Productions has created for our couples:

Whether you want your First Look to be a private moment between you and your spouse-to-be, or you want your family and friends there to witness it, it's important to speak with your videographer about capturing this beautiful and often emotional meeting. You and your new spouse will each have your own memories of that moment, but having a video means that every detail of your First Look will be documented on film.

Being able to go back and watch it unfold together in real time is an experience you won't want to miss out on. Plus, you'll be able to share your video with guests via social media, so they can witness your love and relive a joyous memory from your wedding day, too.

Wedding Ceremony - Wireless Sound System

You and your fiance have likely given a lot of thought to the audio needs for your wedding reception – music, toasts, announcements, etc. But one often overlooked detail of the big day is sound for your ceremony.

Traditional church weddings may take care of music and audio, but if you're getting married at your reception venue or somewhere off-site like a beach, you'll likely be on your own in terms of setting up a sound system.

That's where Hurricane Productions can help: We offer complete ceremony sound packages as part of our services to make your wedding day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

Whether you and your spouse-to-be are exchanging vows indoors or outdoors, we'll be able to accommodate you with an auxiliary sound system for the duration of the ceremony. When you book Hurricane Productions for your wedding entertainment, we'll work with you to plan out the timing for ceremony – everything from the processional and recessional music to any special songs you want to play during the event.

You, your officiant and anyone speaking at your ceremony will be heard by all your guests over our crystal-clear system, which includes speakers, a microphone and a mic stand. Because our setup is completely wireless, no one has to worry about tripping over cords as they walk down the aisle. It's also ideal for remote locations like lakefront or garden weddings, since we can run everything on battery power.

If you're interested in having Hurricane Productions provide the sound for your wedding ceremony, please check your date availability or check out our pricing.

Stephanie and Chuck - The Shadowbrook

Stephanie and Chuck Santo were married at The Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

Hurricane Productions was there throughout the entire event — from pre-ceremony to the afterparty — to help the couple celebrate their wedding.

Hurricane's photography team captured portraits and candid shots for the newlyweds, while the video team documented the day in motion picture. After the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. Santo took advantage of the beautiful, sunny weather and had a photo shoot at Deep Cut Gardens in nearby Middletown, NJ.

Hurricane co-founders Vincent Velasquez and Strato Doumanis welcomed guests to Stephanie and Chuck's reception as the MC and DJ, respectively. Lighting tech Thomas Bishop set the ambiance with twin totem uplighting and pinspot lighting in the ballroom. The couple's friends and family danced the night away, and when the reception officially ended, DJ Nate Hawley took over to play some tunes for an afterparty.

Samantha and Michael's Winter Wedding at The Graycliff, Moonachie

December may be a notoriously cold month in New Jersey, but friends and family of Samantha and Michael Quinn felt the warmth of the couple's love on their winter wedding day.

After their ceremony at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hoboken, the newlyweds and their guests headed over to The Graycliff in Moonachie, NJ. Hurricane Productions ensured a spectacular evening by providing lighting, entertainment, photography and videography throughout the wedding.

To set the ambiance for their elegant affair, Samantha and Michael opted for blue full ballroom uplighting, twin totem lighting, and a custom Name in Lights display. A photo montage of the couple played on the TV screen as their friends and family enjoyed dinner. The open-air photo booth allowed guests to create their own memories as they celebrated with the new Mr. and Mrs.

Samantha and Michael's guests were on the dance floor all night thanks to entertainment led by Hurricane co-founders, DJ Strato Doumanis and MC Vincent Velasquez (who grew up on the same street as the bride). Media director Austin King and videographer Corynn Egreczky documented the wedding on video – from the bridal party preparations and the ceremony to the fun-filled reception – and created a beautiful highlight reel of the day. Later in the evening, Corynn switched over to photographer and captured even more special moments shared by the happy couple and their loved ones.

8 Groundbreaking Moments of 2014

This list usually stands as our annual “Top 25 Live Events.” Although that feature is wildly popular amongst our private event clients, we felt like it was time to move away from that format.

Hurricane continues to evolve and the question always arises: What else does your company do?

This list is a true snapshot of who we are, what we do and where we are heading in 2015:

8. Vincent and Strato launched Hurricane Innovation LLC, offer social media consulting to small and mid-sized businesses.

Starting another business isn't just about creating a website or coming up with a name. We needed clients. We needed a vision. So with the help of some of our existing web clients, Rutgers University and the addition of Journal Multimedia, Caesars Entertainment, and The Olde Mill Inn, we evolved into a social media and video consulting firm.

And we have our former General Manager, Julia Crimi, to thank for making sure that Hurricane Productions operated at full strength while we jumped into our new endeavor.

7. We got more social (and accessible) to our clients with #HurricaneSocial

Every company should do this: Let your employees be themselves ... and share it on all forms of social media.

With the help of a company-wide hashtag, we implemented a way to aggregate all of this content from each popular social media platform and display it in real-time.

If you want a true snapshot of what we're doing, where we're going (as a company and individuals) please visit HurricaneProductions.com/social or just type #hurricanesocial into your favorite social media platform.

It looks great on Instagram.

Crafty Bride Designs Her Own Wedding

Many brides and grooms love "do-it-yourself" projects for their wedding. They scour Pinterest with a fine-tooth comb, looking for inspiration to make their wedding day something truly special. Crafty bride Chrissy took her DIY skills to the next level.

Chrisst designed four of her own custom GOBOS, all decorations including centerpieces, a huge custom facade for the DJ, bouquets, and even her own gown. That's a serious undertaking, considering Chrissy and husband Joe still had the whole rest of the wedding to plan.

To tie all her design elements together, Chrissy and Joe needed the right venue. Enter the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, NJ. The Stone House's Grand Ballroom's rustic yet contemporary architecture was the perfect compliment to the wedding's fall floral theme, with more than enough space for the crafty bride and groom's friends and family to celebrate.

With the venue and design elements taken care of, Chrissy and Joe knew their entertainment was in the right hands with Hurricane Productions. Co-founders Strato Doumanis and Vincent Velasquez took the reins as DJ and MC respectively, with Chrissy and Joe joining in on the fun with some live drumming action. In addition to entertainment, Hurricane provided dynamic twin-totem lighting, accentuating uplighting to bring out Chrissy's gorgeous self-designed GOBO fixtures, and Hurricane Pulse: an Instagram streaming feature that displays photos guests take using their special hashtag (#chrissyandjoe).

Chrissy and Joe took their wedding to the next level, creating an experience all their own.

Sapna and Tony's Indian-American Wedding at The Palace, Somerset Park

The Palace at Somerset Park is the pinnacle of opulence, perfect for nearly any kind of gathering. Sapna and Tony opted to use the East House at The Palace for its 24-foot high ceilings, classical 17th century style ballroom, and Tuscan fountain centerpiece.

Combined with entertainment by Hurricane Productions, Sapna and Tony's Indian-American wedding was a cultural celebration that created memories for years to come.

Sapna and Tony opted to have two traditional ceremonies: a Hindu ceremony in the morning, and a Western ceremony in the evening. Both cultures came together in a spectacular reception that combined music, dancing, food, and east-meets-west hospitality. Hurricane Productions is proud to have brought these two worlds together in a celebration of love and culture. By combining the best parts of the couple's heritage, guests from both sides of the family were included in the Indian-American fun.

Hurricane Productions was present at all points of the wedding. Providing sound reinforcement for the Hindu ceremony in the morning and the Western ceremony at night, as well as DJ and MC services for the fun-filled reception. Hurricane co-founders and dynamic duo Vincent Velasquez and Strato Doumanis served as MC and DJ, respectively.

Bride Sapna knew Vincent from their time at Rutgers, a place that prides itself on its diversity. Vincent and Strato were able to fuse eastern and western cultures by combining Top 40 pop music, Bollywood, and traditional Indian music to include everyone in the fun. Guests of all creeds and cultures were dancing together from start to finish.

To accentuate the opulence of their wedding and The Palace,  Sapna and Tony sprung for twin-totem dynamic lighting and custom 'name-in-lights' GOBO fixtures, creating a wedding experience all their own.

Adriano and Christina's Picturesque Clarks Landing Yacht Club Wedding

Stunning sunsets, beautifully manicured gardens and a picturesque waterfront view come to life at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Delran, NJ.

A premier wedding venue minutes from Philadelphia, Clarks Landing Yacht Club sits on the Delaware River offering gorgeous sunsets through their floor-length windows. Clarks Landing is the perfect place to hold your wedding. They host only one wedding at a time, giving you the attention you and your spouse deserve on your special day. The perfect venue along with entertainment from Hurricane Productions makes for a winning combo on your wedding day.

Adriano and Christina chose Clarks Landing Yacht Club for their wedding for its charm and professional staff; the same reasons they chose Hurricane Productions to provide entertainment, design and photography.

The couple booked Hurricane two months out from their wedding day. Other companies might have scrambled in their preparations, as their date fell right in the middle of wedding season. But with the utmost care and consideration, Adriano and Christina booked Hurricane and some of their best talent for their Clarks Landing wedding.

The room was bathed in light thanks to specially designed twin totem lights accented by full-room uplighting that matched the energy of the night as it progressed. Leading the party was Hurricane's dynamic duo and co-founders, DJ Strato Doumanis and MC Vincent Velasquez. And capturing all the evening's festivities and awesome moments was photographer Kara Battistoni.
