Cameron “Cam” Scarano began working for Hurricane Productions as a party motivator in 2013. He started by doing emcee work and lighting, and he now runs the photo booth for various events.
Cam heard of Hurricane through a friend and former staff member. He was instantly intrigued by the videos he saw of his friend enjoying the job and having an awesome time while working gigs. His interest motivated him to apply, and before he knew it, he was part of the team and working events himself.
“One of my favorite events that I have worked on with Hurricane were FTK (For the Kids) leading up to Dance Marathon at Rutgers,” he says. “The FTK events helped raise money towards the huge 24 hour marathon for children with cancer. Being able to witness the happiness and everyone coming together was an experience I will never forget.”
Because of his easy-going nature, Cam can get along with any type of person. He’s outgoing, energetic, and not afraid to dance -- especially to Taylor Swift.
However, he finds the same goes for everyone at Hurricane. While each person has a unique personality, they all get along well and have each other’s best interests at heart.
“Working for the Hurricane team is like being around family,” he says. “Since the company is not huge, everyone knows everyone, which makes it more personal.”
When he’s not working, Cam enjoys riding his motorcycle.
