After searching venues in the area, Atlantis Ballroom had the most to offer and was supportive of each detail of Marissa's event. Marissa and her family chose Atlantis Ballroom for her Victoria's Secret themed Sweet 16.

Hurricane Productions was the first and last stop for Marissa's family planning the event. After finding Hurricane on Facebook, Marissa knew she needed to have great production, lighting, and photography for her Sweet 16.

Hurricane Productions provided DJ entertainment, intelligent club lighting, a custom "name in lights" gobo and professional photography for Marissa's Sweet 16.

To complete the Victoria's Secret theme, Hurricane provided several important elements:

  • Using fonts similar to the brand, the gobo shone on the wall to add extra character to the room

  • Marissa got to choose from three gobo designs developed by hurricane productions. Each design had its own character but all featured wings to complete the Victoria's Secret feel.

    Screens with a custom animation mimicked the "name in lights" gobo but also incorporated various shades of pink to match the theme. The screens also displayed Instagram posts from guests using the hashtag #Marissa16.

  • A professional photographer exclusive to Hurricane Productions posed Marissa's family and court to capture the specialty of the day. An online photo album allowed family and friends to get a sneak peek the photos.

Preakness Hills Country Club was Alyssa's dream wedding venue. She and Ryan, her fiance, fell in love with the look, the atmosphere and the food.

Ryan proposed to Alyssa at Rutgers Dance Marathon, an event that Hurricane Productions has been involved with for years. With the relationship already established, the newly engaged couple visited Hurricane to plan the details of the wedding.

Hurricane Productions provided DJ Entertainment, Hurricane Pulse and photography and video services for the wedding. Owners Vincent Velasquez and Strato Doumanis led the entertainment for the evening, providing a seamless experience for the couple.

With the hash tag #avrwedding, photos posted by guests through Hurricane Pulse instantly streamed to screens around the room.

The Grand at 1600 in Lakewood, NJ is perfect venue to build your flashy, sparkly Sweet 16 from bottom to top.

The marble dance floor and walls reflect uplighting, creating a glowing atmosphere for the evening. With entertainment and production from Hurricane Productions, a Sweet 16 at The Grand AT 1600 is nothing short of fabulous.

This venue was the perfect spot for Alyssa to build her dream, Juicy Couture themed Sweet 16.  With entertainment, lighting and design work from Hurricane Productions, all details came together to bring Alyssa's dream to life.

Hurricane Productions provided a customized experience for Alyssa. Through her online planner and in person consultations with the staff, Hurricane took Alyssa's ideas and made them real. Two custom "name in lights" gobos complimented the theme, as well as animations on the screens that. Goalpost trussing and full ballroom, pink uplighting transformed the ballroom into a glamorous space.

To capture the evening's luster, Alyssa had Hurricane Productions photographers and videographers during the entire event. From the grand introduction until the very last dance, Hurricane professionals worked to document Alyssa's beautiful event.

Hurricane Productions also provided Hurricane Pulse, and Instagram photo booth, for Alyssa's Sweet 16. Using the hash tag #Lyss16, guests photos streamed instantly to screens around the room. Copies were printed for guests and given out in custom frames with Alyssa's monogram.

To complete Alyssa's dream, Hurricane Productions provided a snow effect for the evening.

Victoria and her family chose Hurricane Productions for her Masquerade Sweet 16. Victoria's cousin, Robbie "Maserobbiee" Padovano, is the lead Sweet 16 emcee for the company and wanted to be a part of her day. After seeing the high-quality product, Victoria's family was excited to get started.

Hurricane Productions provided DJ entertainment, screens with animations, "Name in Lights" gobo, Hurricane Pulse and professional photography.

Keeping in mind Victoria's colors and masquerade theme, Hurricane's professional graphic designer created an animation to show on the screens. The screens also showed a stream of Instagram posts. With the hashtag #VictoriaSweet16, Hurricane's social streaming service allowed family and friends' to send images directly to the screens.

A custom "name in lights" gobo for Victoria welcomed guests as they entered the grand ballroom. Victoria personally reviewed options and chose the specific combination of her name and a mask for the gobo.

Hurricane's professional photographer captured all the incredible moments from the evening. Formal portraits with Victoria's family and court started the evening and the photographer worked to get each important moment - from the grand introduction to the last dance.

When people look at back at Hurricane's 2013, it'll be highlighted by expanding its reach across the northeast. Hurricane used the powerful tool of social media content and marketing to move into other markets.

A strategy that kicked off 2013 with a press conference that announced the company's expansion to Boston, Hurricane saw a boost in regional exposure.

Aside from the live events documented in this post, Hurricane owners/founders Strato Doumanis and Vincent Velasquez created consultation sessions with mid-sized businesses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. The seminars used Hurricane Productions' marketing model in the private events platform to demonstrate how to grow brands online.

The Story:
Christina and Shanna celebrated a wedding during a summer that rewrote a history in NJ that previously did not recognize same-sex marriages.

The couple chose the hashtag #cswed2013 which helped Hurricane collect over 200 photos from family and friends on Instagram. The pics streamed to a screen setup by the bar and printed as photo favors for guests.
